On December 23, 2016 the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan issued Enactment №838 “On amendments and changes to Decree №148 by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 21, 2012 ”.
According to this decision citizens of the United States of America, Commonwealth of Australia, Republic of Austria, Kingdom of Belgium, Republic of Bulgaria, UAE, Federal Republic of Germany, Hellenic Republic, Kingdom of Denmark, New Zealand, Japan, the State of Israel, Ireland, Republic of Iceland, Kingdom of Spain, Italian Republic, Canada, Republic of Cyprus, Republic of Korea, Republic of Latvia, Republic of Lithuania, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Hungary, Malaysia, Republic of Malta, United Mexican States, Principality of Monaco, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Kingdom of Norway, Republic of Poland, Portuguese Republic, Romania, Republic of Singapore, Slovak Republic, Republic of Slovenia, Republic of Turkey, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Republic of Finland, French Republic, Republic of Croatia, Czech Republic, Republic of Chile, Swiss Confederation, Kingdom of Sweden and Republic of Estonia are exempt from visa requirements up to 30 days from the moment of crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan from January 1, 2017.

Chairman of Mazhilis of Kazakhstan’s Parliament invited his Finnish counterpart to visit Kazakhstan
Interparliamentary dialogue is an essential component of comprehensive cooperation, mutual understanding and trust between Kazakhstan and Finland, Chairman of the Mazhilis (Kazakhstan Parliament’s Lower Chamber) Nurlan Nigmatulin said following the meeting with the Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Maria Lohela.
Nurlan Nigmatullin mentioned that due to the reforms proposed byPresident Nursultan Nazarbayev and the plan of the nation on joining the world's 30 most competitive economies, Kazakhstan has a particular interest in Finnish Parliament’s experience on legislative support for innovative development of economy, strengthening of education, information and communication systems and increasing cooperation between science and business.
